Job Description

Mascor is a Company consisting of franchised Automotive, agricultural mechanisation, construction, forestry and fuel. With more than 50 years in the industry, we offer prestige brands such as John Deere, Toyota and Warath while our highly skilled staff provides professional and high-quality service and standards of workmanship. The position for a Sales Manager in the Used Agricultural Sales Department has become available in Pietermaritzburg. The purpose of this position is to ensure that the correct trade prices are given, reconditioning cost and timelines are efficient, and that effective marketing and annual unit and gross-profits are achieved. This position will analyze trends and results whilst maintaining sales volume and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. MANAGEMENT

  • Manage and control working capital within limits and time cycles.
  • Exert good communication, negotiation and technical skills
  • Ensure department’s compliance with policies and procedures
  • Ensure department profits, return on assets, costs and margins meet budget
  • Ensure that required daily reports are sent through to Head office correctly and timeously.
  • Action the monthly matrix report and send through to Head office 
  • Ensure physical stock placement at required branches.

2.  SALES

  • Ensure all sales marketing programs are executed
  • Lead conversion
  • Meet budgeted unit and sales target
  • Execute and manage enquires and leads
  • Develop and maintain additional external channels
  • Manage sales cycle to delivery and aftersales or lost sales analysis

3. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

  • Attend to customer enquiries timeously and accurately
  • Ensure accurate trade and retail pricing
  • Ensure all equipment are completely saleable.

4. HOUSEKEEPING AND SAFETY

  • Ensure that department is neat, tidy and includes marketing displays.
  • Ensure that equipment is well displayed
  • Ensure that communications are done timeously
  • Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations including OHS and franchise requirements.
Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

1. Qualifications:

  • Min: 3-year experience in Agricultural Sales
  • Ideal: Bachelors in Marketing/Sales

 

2. Experience:

  • 3-year experience in Agricultural Sales
